Marlo Woodwork

Marlo Woodwork was founded by Irish hands with a deep love for craftsmanship and form. Born and raised in Wexford, Darragh Redmond Murphy - the designer behind the brand - developed an early grá for woodwork: a quiet fascination with shaping raw timber into something lasting.

Moving to Sydney and then on to Tasmania; the latter felt less like leaving and more like returning - to mountains, water, and a rhythm that matched the craft.

Now based once again in Sydney, with creative roots still in Tasmania, Marlo Woodwork's pieces remain simple, purposeful, and place-inspired - from the curves of Lake Elysia to the rising waves of Akaroa Bay and the incredible sunsets of Mt. Amos. Each design is made to last - inviting touch and sparking conversation.

At the core of Marlo Woodwork is the age-old craft of steam bending — using water, heat, and time to gently shape timber into sculptural curves. Every piece reflects values of sustainability and artistry.

Marlo Woodwork is more than furniture - it’s story-rich design, crafted with Irish soul and Tasmanian heart.
