So what's the Scá

Because homesick therapy is expensive, but a bit of home on the wall is priceless.

We’re BronntanAus - which sounds fancy until you realise BronntanAus just means “gift” in Irish, and then our extremely overpaid ‘marketing team’ slapped Aus on the end so you’d know we’re in Australia.
Genius, we know!

We make little pieces of home for Irish abroad - the sentimental, the handcrafted, and the downright mad. From vintage-style personalised road signs that tell you how far away home is (too far), to hardwood maps that show exactly where it is, to the kind of cheeky art only your Irish friends will truly get. Perfect for gifting, or for making your place feel a little less “rental beige” and a little more like it has a mammy’s touch.

It all started when we made a few gifts for friends using beautiful timber we rescued from a woodworker's  offcut pile - because there was no truer way to tell someone they mean something to us than two hands, full of splinters. People loved them, we expanded, more orders rolled in from across the globe, and we thought, “Why not build something that supports other Irish expat artists too?”

So we've spent some time curating our product range, some of the artists we collaborate with are Eleanor Donnellan, whose illustrations will make you homesick in the best possible way; Crock of Shite, a gloriously cheeky ceramic crockery, far too saucy for your Granny's cupboards; and Marlo Woodwork, creators of steam-bent designs so beautiful you’ll pretend they’re “just for display” so no one touches them. We have a few more in the works, so keep your eyes peeled.

Everything is handmade or printed by us here in Sydney, using sustainable materials and small-batch methods - no imports, no mass production, and absolutely no flat-pack allen keys. Just thoughtful gifts, made to last, made to mean something, and made to bring home a whole lot closer.

Cheers, we'll be in touch asap
