About Us
We’re BronntanAus - which sounds fancy until you realise Bronntanas means “gift” in Irish, and then our extremely overpaid ‘marketing team’ slapped AUS on the end so you’d know we’re in Australia. Genius, we know!
We make little pieces of home for Irish worldwide - the sentimental, the handcrafted, and the downright daft. From vintage-style road signs that tell you how far away home is (too far), to hardwood maps that show exactly where it is (still too far), to the kind of cheeky art only your Irish friends will truly get. Perfect for gifting, or for making your place feel a little less “rental beige” and a little more like it has a mammy’s touch.

Partner Artists
We’re proud to collaborate with a growing family of Irish artists who, like us, have made the move abroad but kept Ireland close to the heart. Through BronntanAus, we give their work a new home - showcasing Irish creativity, wit and nostalgia to audiences across the world. Every piece tells a story of home, wherever you happen to be.
Eleanor Donnellan
Eleanor Donnellan is an Irish artist with a grá for storytelling, a deep love of home, and a flair for capturing the spirit of a place in just a few strokes. From her studio in Coogee, Eleanor began crafting a series of illustrated prints — one for each Irish county - filled with landmarks, nostalgia, and a quiet nod to some of the finest pubs on the island.
Her work is thoughtful, vivid, and instantly recognisable. Each print is more than a pretty picture - it’s a connection to home, lovingly made for those who carry Ireland with them wherever they go.
Marlo Woodwork
Marlo Woodwork was founded by Irish hands with a deep love for craftsmanship and form. Born and raised in Wexford, Darragh Redmond Murphy - the designer behind the brand - developed an early grá for woodwork: a quiet fascination with shaping raw timber into something lasting.
At the core of Marlo Woodwork is the age-old craft of steam bending - using water, heat, and time to gently shape timber into sculptural curves. Every piece reflects values of sustainability and artistry. Through a partnership with ReForest Now, each purchase helps plant trees and restore native forests.
Marlo Woodwork is more than furniture - it’s story-rich design, crafted with Irish soul and Tasmanian heart.
Crock of Shite
Crock of Shite is the brainchild of an Irish ceramicist we're calling 'Bad Mnánnered' - a ceramicist with a grá for mischief and a talent for letting her ceramics say the things she can’t. Somewhere between a steady (we think government) job and a studio filled with clay and stamps, she began crafting small-batch ceramics with bold words and even bolder intent.
Her work is cheeky, clever, and instantly recognisable. Each piece is handmade - stamped with filth, glazed with care, and designed to make someone laugh, blush, or both. These aren’t your everyday crockery - they’re little rebellions, proudly placed on kitchen counters and gifted as a house-warming present that won't be forgotten quickly.
Though her identity remains private (for very sensible, pension-related reasons), her spirit is in every cup, plate and butter dish. She’s not ashamed of what she makes - she’s just not sure the Australian government would enjoy it the same way we will.
Bad Mnánered’s collection is a celebration of honesty, humour, and the simple joy of not minding your language.
